Role: Assistant Accountant
Department/Direct Report: Finance – Group Financial Controller
PROFILE:
Rapidly expanding online media organisation is seeking a highly motivated individual with at least 3 years working experience within finance and accounting function. Suitable Candidates must be ACCA qualified or part-qualified but in their final stage of examination.
Salary: N200K per Month
Start Date: ASAP
You will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and assist in all matters related to the following:
Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts at each reporting period end
Reconciliation of the sales and purchase Ledgers
Preparing and posting of journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger
Preparation of monthly staff payroll
Analysis of VAT return
Maintenance of the fixed asset register
Managing the accruals and prepayments schedule
Assisting with the preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet Accounts
Producing detailed variance analysis to budget at month end
Assisting with preparation for the financial year end
Prepare/ Produce adhoc reports as and when required by the financial controller
Provide required support to external auditors and ensure compliance with internal controls
As part of the accounts team, you will be required to provide cover for any administration duties when required
Candidate Requirements:
Must have strong communication skills
Experience working for SME company in growth stage
Must be highly numerical and analytical
Proficient user of Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables /Vlookups
Analyse and report financial data to key personnel
IFRS Knowledge is essential
Ability to work on own initiative
Must be ACCA part or fully qualified
Education:
Minimum BSc Accounting qualification or equivalent
